How to Choose a Photo Collage Layout
A good collage is not just a pile of pictures. The layout should make the most important moments easy to notice while keeping the whole image balanced.
Choose a layout for your story
Start with the story you want to tell. Use a regular grid when every photo matters equally; give one or two images more space when they carry the main message. Keep photos with similar subjects near each other, check that faces and key details remain visible, and preview the final image at phone size before exporting. If the collage feels crowded, remove a photo rather than shrinking every image until details become hard to see.
A quick pre-export checklist
- Can viewers identify the main subject at a glance?
- Are faces, text and important details visible?
- Does the collage still look balanced on a small screen?
